Healthy relationships with friends, family, in the workplace, and with intimate partners are rewarding and fulfilling. To nurture meaningful relationships, it is critical to identify the love language of others and know and share your own. Dr. Chapman discuses five distinct love languages in his book: receiving gifts, acts of service, words of affirmation, quality time, and physical touch. While each of them are present to some degree in everyone, we all have a predominant and secondary love language. This book gave me tremendous insight into myself and has been instrumental in helping me to cultivate lifelong friendships. This is a must read! He has authored several editions to target different audiences.

Yummy! One of my favorite breakfasts. I add matcha powder, soy milk, an extra scoop of protein, and extra ice. The matcha green tea powder is high in antioxidants which has anti-aging properties that do the skin good! It also takes away the bitterness of the taste of the protein. This is a great breakfast that is slightly over 300 calories and packed with over 20 grams of protein. To decrease the amount of carbs in the drink, ask to have it made with a half of a banana. Um delicious!

If your sweat equity is not producing the results that you desire, a way to measure your true performance intensity during workouts is a heart rate monitor. At a glance, you can determine if you are meeting your exercise goals. It displays the number of calories used and the percentage of maximum heart rate achieved during maximum exertion. A heart monitor is a great tool to push you to challenge yourself and help you get the best fitness bang.The Polar heart rate monitor is my favorite. It adds a little bling to my workout gear and makes me look like a real athlete while keeping me in my optimal workout zone!
