15 Fun, Healthy Twists On Kids And Adults Easter Baskets
Hello Health and Lifestyle VIPs,
It’s Dr. Bernadette, your friendly informative family medicine doctor, prescribing health, healing and happiness and guiding you to your passion and purpose. It’s almost Easter! I enjoy celebrating Easter for many reasons and one being my Easter basket––yes, even as an adult. Do you need clever ideas for your loved ones’ Easter baskets? Jelly beans, marshmallow candy and other sugary treats aren’t your only options. Put a fun, healthy twist on this year’s basket. One that won’t expand the waistline or require a trip to the dentist long after Easter has come and gone!
Consider gifts that will get your family and friends active, outdoors, relaxed, entertained and go ahead, give them a yummy treat or two. What are some hobbies they enjoy? It’s a great idea to put a couple of items in their baskets to help them get back to their favorite pastimes.
Easter baskets don’t have to be boring because they are not filled with the traditional junk foods and candy. Show them that being healthy is a blast! From the moment you loved ones lay their eyes of this year’s Easter gift, it will scream personal, fun and unique! For sure, they won’t open it until after the selfie! Buy a playful container, maybe its’ not a basket, but a crate, bike helmet, lunch bag or tote.
Okay, now that you have the container, be creative and fill it with amusing stuff! Here are some of my thoughts to get you inspired.
15 Fun, Healthy Twists On Kids Easter Baskets:

- Ball
- Movie gift card
- Popcorn
- Flip flops
- Summer hat or cap

- Dark chocolate
- Bathing suit, a pair of swim trunks or shorts
- Book

You cannot forget the big kids in your life or they might just starting pouting. Moreover, this is a great way to earn some brownie points or carrot points–-get it, Easter bunny, healthy and carrots? Come on, admit it that was cute even if I did have to explain it!
15 Fun, Healthy Twists On Adults Easter Baskets:
- Meditation CD or book
- Candle
- Car wash or manicure gift card
- A thermal water bottle or a bottle of wine
- Coloring book and crayons

Also, if some of your loved ones aren’t well, consider putting some things in their basket to ease their expense of taking care of themselves better. For example, a gift card for their pharmacy to purchase supplies to monitor blood sugar in diabetics or to cover the cost of medicine co-pays. They will most certainly appreciate it.
Lastly, for an added burst of fun, sprinkle in a couple of IOUs into everyone’s Easter baskets. What could be more special than looking forward to a 30 minute walk, a picnic, time at the park or movie night with none other than YOU––how awesome is an Easter basket that keeps giving after Easter!
